About the Company
Copper State Bolt & Nut Company is a $74 million supplier of fasteners, industrial
and construction supplies, tools and tool repair, cutting tools and abrasives, and
fluid sealing products. With more than 400 people on its team, Copper State supports
21 locations in Arizona, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico and Nevada. Copper State provides
products and services throughout the Southwest U.S. in support of mining, construction,
steel fabrication, MRO, OEM, utilities/municipalities, and fluid sealing industries.
Copper State prides itself in developing talented employees, carrying inventory
to support customer needs, providing quality products and services, and in being
an active and environmentally conscious participant in each community in which we
are located.

Letter from the Founder
I have been peddling fasteners for over forty years. My goal from the start has been to be the best
distributor in the United States. I want to be known as providing
the best customer service around town and I want my suppliers to think
of me as their best customer. At Copper State Bolt & Nut Co., you
won't find voice mail, long lines, back orders or rookies. You
will find lots of inventory, same day service, and an extremely
knowledgeable sales staff.
I often remind my employees "If we do business today, like we did
yesterday, we won't be around tomorrow". We welcome change at
every level of our business to improve customer service and operations.
Unsatisfied customers are the only customers I don't like. I am
the self appointed Chairman of Customer Complaints and I can be reached

Letter from the President
At the close of fiscal year 2008 we recognized that our performance
outweighed our expectations due to personnel going above and beyond what
we thought was possible. Our growth was developed in areas which we
targeted, but we were able to capture more business than anticipated; a
problem we hope to address again in 2009.
Looking
forward to 2009, our main hurdle will again be developing personnel to
achieve company objectives. Rather than trying to expand operations
geographically, we will focus on market expansion in areas where we
currently operate. We intend to maintain this market strategy for the
next two years. In every market which we serve, opportunities exist to
service customers which are not typically serviced by Copper State.
Some of the companies in the market view our focus as serving the "big
black bolt" market, and ignoring the precision OEM market segments. In
2009 this view will change.
In order to capture new fastener markets we intend to hire and train
sales people to focus on these areas. The slowing economy should help
us attract talented individuals who are looking for a more stable
company like Copper State Bolt & Nut. We anticipate that our existing
warehouse operations will be able to handle this growth without
additional personnel.
As is typical, our current plans will yield significant opportunities
for our employees. We will need forerunners to help us realize sales in
these new market arenas. Those employees that step up, learn the
business, and apply the sound Copper State marketing fundamentals will
be rewarded with much success.
